ACSSA-ALERT News Email Service

ACSSA-ALERT is an email list for news and updates from the Australian Centre for the Study of Sexual Assault and the sexual assault field, relevant to all Australian States.
Alerts are posted fortnightly and contain announcements such as: upcoming conferences, large and small scale one off events, ACSSA publication releases, training programs, workshops, forums and seminars, calls for papers, the release of significant research reports, updates on the ACSSA website, Public lectures and much more. ..

How to join ACSSA-ALERT

There are two ways to join ACSSA-ALERT

  1. Click here to auto-subscribe to ACSSA-ALERT - your email program should open and create a message addressed to majordomo@aifs.gov.au - the message should have nothing in the subject and it must have in the body of the email the following text: subscribe acssa-alert .
    Simply send this message.
  2. Alternatively, compose and send an email with the following details:
    To: majordomo@aifs.gov.au
    Subject: (leave blank)
    Message in the body of the email: subscribe acssa-alert

IMPORTANT: If you do not receive an email confirming your subscription soon after you post a subscription request as above, contact the the list owner: owner-acssa-alert@aifs.gov.au

How to remove your subscription to ACSSA-ALERT

  1. Click here to auto- unsubscribe from ACSSA-ALERT - your email program will open with the required message, just click 'send'.
  2. Alternatively, compose and send an email with the following details:

ACSSA-DISCUSS Discussion Group

acssa-discuss is an email list developed to provide a forum for the discussion of sexual assault research, policy and practice issues. It is designed to promote the exchange of ideas and information, particularly in regard to strategies for improving the response to sexual assault in Australia.

Professionals working in the field of sexual assault and related areas are encouraged to join acssa-discuss, including people working in sexual assault centres, health and welfare services, policy and planning, the criminal justice system, education and training, and research and information provision.

In order to ensure that emails to the list are relevant to the stated aims of acssa-discuss, and that they conform to 'netiquette' standards (that is, respectful of others views and non-abusive), the List Owner (or delegated ACSSA staff member) moderates the acssa-discuss e-list. Specifically:
