Derived variable code
The following link accesses an online database of derived variable code. Thanks to all those data users who contributed to it. Those wishing to make contributions should email Sebastian.Misson@aifs.gov.au.
Access the Derived variable code database (Select 'Guest account' for login)
Each record of the database contains the following fields. The easiest way to browse the database is generally to pick a variable that you are interested in using and to search for its variable name in the code field to see how others have used it.

| Language | Programming language use to derive the variable (can be SAS, STATA, or SPSS depending on the author's preference) |
| Provided by | Name of the person that provided the code |
| Organisation | Organisation of the person that provided the code |
| Notes | Any other relevant information on the derivation |
| Code | Code used to derive the variables |
| Values | Explanation of variable values (in format statement form if available) |
