Project Web sites

Australian Centre for the Study of Sexual Assault (ACSSA)
Funded by the Office of the Status of Women, through the National Initiative to Combat Sexual Assault, the Centre aims to improve access to current information and resources in order to assist those committed to working against sexual assault.

Australian Family Relationships Clearinghouse (AFRC)
AFRC is an information and advisory unit focussed on the enhancement of family relationships across the lifespan. The Clearinghouse is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.

Australian Temperament Project (ATP)
An ongoing longitudinal study of the psychosocial development of Victorian children which commenced in 1983.

Communities and Families Clearinghouse Australia (CAFCA)
Funded by the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs through the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy 2004-2008. CAFCA aims to improve access to current information and resources to assist those working in the field of early childhood and community development.

Family Pathways: the Longitudinal Study of Separated Families
Funded by the Attorney-General’s Department and the Department of Families, Housing, Community, and Indigenous Affairs. The study aims to understand how the family law system and the child support scheme affect the lives of separated parents and their children.

Growing Up in Australia: the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC)
The Institute is the lead agency in this nine year national study which will examine the impact of Australia's unique social and cultural environment on the next generation.

National Child Protection Clearinghouse
Part of the National Strategy for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, the Clearinghouse has been hosted by the Institute since 1995. The Website contains online publications, a database of prevention programs, directories of counselling services and organisations involved in child abuse prevention, forthcoming conferences and events, bibliographies and references materials, and links to related sites.

Stronger Families Learning Exchange (SFLEX)
Funded under the Commonwealth Government's Stronger Families and Communities Strategy, 2000-2004, SFLEX's work was completed in July 2005. The website will no longer be updated but preserved as an archived site.
