Library Membership Offer for NGO Service Providers in Australia

In an attempt to help small, non-government, community-based organisations obtain access to library materials, the National Child Protection Clearinghouse's Library service, through the Australian Institute of Family Studies (the Institute), is offering a special Library membership arrangement.

If you are a service provider in a field related to child abuse prevention, working for a not-for-profit, non-government organisation in Australia, then you are entitled to membership of the Institute's Library.

Library membership is free. It entitles you to:

Conditions of loan for materials

Conditions are designed to allow fullest and fairest access to the Institute's Library collection.

Conditions for photocopying

The Institute's Library has obtained a license from the Copyright Agency Limited to enable the provision of photocopies to members. However, copying will still have to comply with the "fair dealing" requirements of the Copyright Act 1968 (we can provide only one article from any one journal issue).

Other ways of accessing the Library collection

The Institute's Library will continue to make materials available to interested people via the interlibrary loans scheme. Contact your own library to arrange loans.
